ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN BILINGUALISME DI LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH
Abstract
The problems that exist in this study are (1) what are the forms of code switching and code mixing in the speech of Students and teachers in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hayat Kopo Serang environment (2) what are the causes ofthe use of bilingualism in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hayat Kopo Serang School environment. This study analyzes and describes the forms of code switching and code mixing and the causes of the use of bilingualism in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hayat Kopo Serang environment. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The techniques used are listening speaking techniques, interviews, recording, and note taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that of two forms of internal and external code switching and code mixing in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hayat Kopo Serang school environment, it turns out that the more dominant forms of code switching and internal code mixing are used, namely the use ofSundanese and Indonesian language codes. Asfor the causes ofthe use ofcode switching and code mixing causing bilingualism events, namely (1) Speakers, (2) speech partners, (3) thepresence ofa third person, (4) a change in topic ofconversation, and (5) a change in situation.
