(2) How are the forms of assonance, personification, and metaphor in the slogans of beverage advertisements on television. This study analyzes the language style of slogans found in advertisements on television. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The techniques used are observation techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are (1) six categories of figurative language consisting of 4 styles of repetition, 6 styles of alliteration, 3 styles of assonance, 15 styles of hyperbole, 2 styles of metaphor, and 1 style of persynification. (2) the meaning contained in the advertising slogan for coffee and milk drinks on television. Semantic is also a branch of dozen of sciences about symbols or semiotics. To the relationship between meaning or concept and the slowness or series of sounds it represents, a picture has been created such as a formula in the form af a triangle of meaning, language and the real world in a triangle called the “semiotic triangle”. The aims of this research </em><em>are (1) To describe the morphological process of affixation in novels about men and the heart. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of diction, language style and selection </em><em>of teaching materials in grade XI highschool in the collection of short stories "Shadows in the Drizzle" by Saroh </em><em>Jarmin. The method used in this study is using qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques use </em><em>read and record techniques. The results of this study are three (1) there are 65 words included in the type of </em><em>diction. The dominant type of diction found in the collection of short stories is the use of diction denotation 10 </em><em>(15%, connotation 6 (9%), </em><em>abstract words 12 (19%), concrete</em> <em>words 11 (17%),</em> <em>common words 7 (11%), </em><em>special words 4 (6%), scientific </em><em>words 10 (15%), popular words 2 (3%) and foreign words 3 (5%) (2) </em><em>language styles found in this study, found contradictory language styles in the form of hyperbole styles 5 (18%), </em><em>Affirmation language style 18 (64%) which includes figure of speech inversion 9, rhetoric 4, parallelism 1, </em><em>enumeratio 3, repetition 1, and comparative language style 5 (18) which includes association figure of speech </em><em>1, metaphor 2 and personification 2. This study </em><em>used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and </em><em>documentation. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, namely summarizing all data from interviews, </em><em>observation and documentation, presenting data in narrative form, and drawing conclusions. The stages in </em><em>checking the validity of the data include: Credibility, Dependability, and Confirmability. The results of this study </em><em>Indicate that, (1) the teacher’s perception of the implementation of the independent learning policy in learning </em><em>Indonesian is positive.
